GE-BE Transport have been providing transport & distribution service throughout the UK for over three decades. Established in 1982 by David Green and his wife Paddy, GE-BE Transport started with just one 35cwt truck operating from their own home. Shortly after the start of GE-BE Transport David and Paddy's first son, Jason joined the company followed by their other son Carl in 1985. A family business from the start. In 1986 they got their first 7.5 tonne lorry and by 1988 they had 4 vehicles on the road. By 1994 GE-BE owned a small fleet ranging from 3.5tonne to 17tonne vehicles.
Sadly, David died suddenly in 1995 and the business continued with Paddy and sons Jason and Carl. Since then GE-BE has continued to grow with a larger fleet and the help of exsisting and new customers.
The rapid growth, diversification and innovation won the company the Mayor's award for Business Achievement in 2003.
Now running a fleet of 45 vehicles including Vans, and Artics GE-BE can handle anything from one parcel up to 44 pallets. Paddy, Jason and Carl remain proud of their family run business and they feel it's success is down to customer loyalty and continued support of it's employee's over the years.
In 1992 David and Jason embarked on an ambitious project to restore a dilapidated 1943 Austin K2 truck.
Now completely restored in GE-BE Transport livery the vehicle is regularly
and successfully exhibited at classic vehicle festivals and is a living
testament to the dedication of the hardworking GE-BE team.
